What data do we collect?
Langoustine collects the following data:
- Personal identification information (Name, email address, etc.)
- Data required to run your tests, such as feature descriptions, URLs, usernames, passwords, etc.
- Your payment data, indirectly through Stripe
- Some data about your usage, so we can optimize the user experience of our product, and discover and fix bugs.
How do we collect your data?
You directly provide Langoustine with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
- Register online for any of our products or services.
- Enter data on our website.
- Create a testing task and assign it to Langoustine.
Langoustine may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:
- While we rely on Stripe to handle your credit card data, other payment and billing related data will be shared between Stripe and us. This includes your billing address and the status of your payments.
How will we use your data?
Langoustine collects your data so that we can:
- Process your payments and manage your account.
- Provide the service you signed up for, e.g. run your tests and report the results.
- Email you with product updates. (If you sign up for the respective newsletter.)
When Langoustine processes your order, it may send your data to, and also use the resulting information from, credit reference agencies to prevent fraudulent purchases.
How do we store your data?
Langoustine securely stores your data at different cloud providers:

Scaleway
. Scaleway also hosts our webservers (through which all data flows), and processes
our transactional emails.
Scaleway and Scaleway's servers are based in the EU.
Langoustine uses the following external partners to provide parts of our service, and needs to share some of your data with them:
- Langoustine employs Cloudflare for enhanced performance and security. Cloudflare may process some of your data, such as IP addresses, to provide these services. Cloudflare adheres to GDPR and ensures the protection of your data.
- Langoustine uses different large language model (LLM) providers to plan and run tests as part of our service. When you request a test to be performed, relevant information (such as your test instructions, product URLs, or context you provide) may be securely transmitted to these LLM providers.
Langoustine will keep your files and your account data until your Langoustine account is cancelled. Within 30 days after your account was cancelled, we will delete your data from our database. We keep your billing data for as long as we are required by law.
Marketing
Langoustine would like to send you information about products and services of ours that we think you might like.
If you have agreed to receive marketing, you may always opt out at a later date.
You have the right at any time to stop Langoustine from contacting you for marketing purposes.
